Detroit SOUP is a microgranting dinner celebrating and supporting creative projects in Detroit. Past SOUP winners have started nonprofits, local businesses, after school programs and park clean-ups.
I worked with Detroit SOUP for over three years, first solidifying their brand as they expanded into Detroit's neighborhoods and later creating a book celebrating their fifth anniversary and developing their website which is now maintained by Build Institute.
Detroit SOUP Five Year Anniversary Publication
For the fifth anniversary of SOUP we wanted to put together a publication that celebrated the success of the organization, checked in with past winners to see where they were now and talk to them about how winning a microgrant from SOUP helped them on their journey. We also wanted to highlight the expansion of SOUP into neighborhoods and talk a little about how those smaller, more targeted dinners were going.
